Isabel has lived her life outside of the vampire community because of her lack of power, so when Thad shows up claiming to be the king of the vampires and that she is his destined mate she is a bit skeptical. Thad needs Isabel in order to unlock his own powers but she seems bent on a temporary arrangement instead of the full partnership he wants.This is a very complicated novel with lots of subplots. There will obviously be a sequel as one of the many subplots has set up the situation for us. I enjoyed the book and will be getting the sequel as soon as its available, unfortunately that won't be January 2013.
