by Stephanie Taylor is a short urban fantasy that introduces the characters for a new series that will be starting later this month. In this novella we are introduced to the Dire Wolf Shifters, a group of eternal shifters who have been tasked with policing the were population and making sure they are not misbehaving towards humans. Each of the dire wolves has psychic powers beyond the ability to shift to an abnormally large wolf. This story revolves around the relationship between the various members of the dire wolf pack and the solving of the murder of a young woman, supposedly by a werewolf.It is my understanding that the eternal wolf clan series will be paranormal romance, but this novella does not contain any romantic elements. I enjoyed the novella and am looking forward to starting a new series later this month.
