by Elizabeth Naughton is a new to me series. Its not completely new as the next two books in the series are already available. The premise behind this series is that the heros of the greek myths and their descendants were given a special place to live. They call their land Argolas and are longer lived than humans. The direct descendants of the seven main heros are the Argonauts and they protect the rest of the Argolian race as well as the human race from the demons of Hades. Atalanta was one of the heros of ancient greece and wanted to be chosen as one of the Argonauts. When she wasn't chosen she made a deal with Hades to give her immortality. However, there is a prophecy, the fulfilling of which will take away Atalanta's immortality.Theron is the leader of the Argonauts and the direct descendant of Hercules. He is betrothed to the daughter of the King of the Argolians, Isadora. But when he follows Isadora to Earth and sends her back to Argolas he is attacked by demons and rescued by the human Casey.
This is a very complex story and I really enjoyed it. I grew up on Greek Mythology so it was very nice to see someone do something different with the heros I love.
